Gainful finds people meaningful work in a world that no longer needs it, with real jobs, real workplaces and colleagues who count on them.
When the last jobs were automated, the economy kept running. It just stopped needing us. The Universal Basic Income (UBI) covers the rent and the groceries, but not the things a job used to give us for free: a reason to get up, somewhere to be and people who notice when you don't turn up.
Gainful was founded to give those things back. We rebuild real workplaces from six thousand years of human work, from the quarries of Giza to the open-plan office, and staff them with the people who miss them most. Our members don't work because they have to. They work because someone is counting on them, and that turns out to be the part that mattered.
